How we count prices
Singapore menus often show prices before service charge and GST. Here is how RetiredLife reads them.
The $25 limit. For the dining lists, the $25 limit applies to the final bill, not the menu price.
++ prices. A price marked ++ adds a 10% service charge and 9% GST, about 20% in total. A $20.85++ set comes to about $25 on the bill, so only sets up to about $20.85++ qualify.
Nett prices. A nett price is the final bill. Service charge and GST are already included.
From prices. Where a tip says "from", it is the lowest price on offer. Other choices may cost more and may go over $25.
Sources and dates. Each tip links to where the offer was published, and shows when it was last updated. Offers change, so confirm with the venue.
